Why You Should Apply Skin Care Within Three Seconds of Washing Your Face
Studies have shown that applying a moisturiser immediately after bathing results in greater hydration of the skin compared to delayed moisturising. The same is likely true of other active ingredients found in skin-care products.
My best advice is to apply your skin-care product immediately after patting the skin dry from cleansing.
Do you moisturise straight away or do you wait a while?
Using toxic products has an accumulative effect, filling your body with toxins and making it more challenging for your body to heal and repair itself.
It is always good to read ingredients and avoid at least the following:
- BHA
- Triclosan and triclocarban
- Aminophenol, Diaminobenzene, Phenylenediamine (Coal Tar)
- Polyethylene/PEGs
- Retinyl palmitate, retinyl acetate, retinoic acid and retinol
- Oxybenzone
